Texas man sentenced to probation in violent hate crime outside Detroit casino

A man from Texas, William Wilson, has been sentenced to two years probation for a violent hate crime outside of the MGM Casino in Detroit. The alleged attack occurred when a group returning from a birthday party, including two gay couples, was approached by two men who allegedly shouted homophobic slurs and physically assaulted them. The remaining charges were dismissed as part of the plea agreement.
