AI mentions on resumes have tripled, but colleges aren't keeping up

A report from Monster.com has revealed that the number of resumes mentioning AI skills has tripled in two years, with the most notable increase from 2024 to 2025 being from 2024. This shift is seen as a significant shift in the approach of the labor market towards AI fluency. However, colleges like the University of Technology are not as prepared as they are about to manage students' use of AI technology. This increase in AI mentions makes sense as jobs that require AI tend to pay more. However some colleges are reportedly spending millions on AI detection tools to catch students in the act, while others are not.
