F1 championship leader, George Russell, has secured the pole position for the first sprint race of the season for Mercedes in China, with teammate Kimi Antonelli 0.289 seconds slower than him. Russell led all qualifying sessions to secure his first career sprint pole in a time of one minute, 31.5.
