National fitness company Genesis Health Clubs has acquired New Mexico Sports & Wellness, one of five locations in Albuquerque. The acquisition also included the acquisition of Colorado Athletic Club, which had previously owned both Colorado and New Mexico clubs. This acquisition marks Genesis' first entry into the New Mexico market. The company stated that the foundation of these clubs will not change but the level of investment, consistency and long-term focus will. All employees have been offered roles with Genesis. The deal was finalized on April 16.
