Police in Queens are searching for the shooter who fatally shot 15-year-old Jaden Pierre in a park after a basketball court argument. The incident occurred around 6:15 p.m. on April 16 inside Roy Wilkins Park in St. Albans. Police found Pierre lying near the basketball courts of the Nautilus Playground after being shot in the chest. He was rushed to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition but died of his injuries. The shooting sparked outrage among those seeking to keep the peace, with Erica Ford of Life Camp, a violence prevention organization, calling it a "horrific act of violence". No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
