Alibaba's shares have surged by over 14% in April, putting them on track for their best month since January. The Chinese e-commerce giant has released several new artificial intelligence models, including a new world model called Happy Oyster. The company also revealed its navigation unit is developing a four-legged robot and an AI video generation model. Analysts believe these investments are necessary in its race to maintain dominance in AI. They also noted that the company's cloud business could benefit from its ability to raise fees. However, they warned against spending on free milk tea in a marketing campaign for its AI app Qwen.
