The Giants have brought top prospect Bryce Eldridge back to San Francisco, part of a larger effort to revitalize their team after a disappointing 0-6 trip. Eldridge, ranked No. 19 overall by MLB Pipeline, had hit.333 with a.963 OPS, six doubles, five homers and 22 RBIs for Sacramento River Cats. The team also recalled Jesus Rodriguez, a 24-year-old catcher and their No. 18 prospect, and cut two little-used outfielders. President of baseball operations Buster Posey said the move was influenced by watching Eldridge and Rodriguez's performance and the team's underperformed.
