UES Esplanade Reopens Despite Widening Sinkhole, City Says

A portion of the East River Esplanade in New York City has been reopened following a significant increase in its safety rating. The portion between East 93rd and East 94th streets has been partially reopened following an inspection by consultant engineers. The city is currently exploring options for repairing the sinkhole.
