Family of High School Senior 'Beyond Devastated' by Her Death During Meningitis Outbreak: 'No Words to Express Their Loss'

High school senior, Juliette, from Kent, England, died during an outbreak of meningitis in the UK on March 14. She is one of two known to have died during the outbreak, believed to be connected to a nightclub event in Canterbury. A further 13 to 15 people have been confirmed as having contracted "invasive" mingitis. Juliette's father, who was unnamed, said that her family are "beyond devastated" by her death. Amelia McIlroy, headteacher of Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School in the town of Faversham, described Juliette as "incredibly kind, thoughtful and intelligent."
