Dolores Huerta says Cesar Chavez assaulted her, fathered 2 of her children

Civil rights leader and activist Dolores Huerta has accused United Farmworkers founder Cesar Chavez of sexually assaulting her and fatesting two of her children. The allegations were made in a statement following a year-long investigation by the New York Times into allegations of sexual abuse by Chavez. Two women also named as victims of the alleged abuse as young girls. Despite keeping her secret for 60 years, Huertta maintains that exposing the truth would not harm the farmworker movement she has spent her entire life fighting for. She also expresses her commitment to advocating for the rights of millions of farmworkers and others who were seeking equal rights.
