Pizza Mia owner, Rick Dombrowski, has been making pizzas for 35 years, starting in his hometown of Oak Forest, Illinois, before expanding to Homer Glen and New Lenox. He started making pizzakes in high school and began his business in 1991, when he purchased a pre-existing pizza restaurant in Oak Forest. Dombrowki then bought his first Pizza Mia location in 1991 and expanded to three locations, two of which are still successful. Despite initially being the third or fourth owner at the Oak Forest location, Dombowski was able to build a customer base quickly and successfully. He credits his success to his innovative use of social media and innovative marketing tools. In celebration of his 35 years in business, he will roll back prices to 1991: $8.45.
