The long lines at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) have been reported on social media, but have since calmed down, according to a spokesperson from the airport. Three of the airport's TSA security checkpoints have been temporarily closed due to a staffing shortage, including two that closed on Wednesday. The partial federal government shutdown began on February 14 and has resulted in thousands of TSA workers working without pay, leading to a significant portion of the workforce quitting or calling out. The longest wait time as of 2:30 p.m. was 12 minutes at Terminal B.
