Prairie Public TV's "Prairies Musicians" is back for another season of live music broadcasts. The new season of the show, which features original material from regional artists, kicks off on March 19 and runs through April. The show's producer, Barb Gravel, hopes the series will inspire viewers to enjoy local music and bring people back to hear live music. This season features seven regional acts that have previously featured 10 acts, while the network is focusing more resources on food programming. The first year without a Fargo-Moorhead-based act, Katy Tessman, whose music is inspired by her experiences with cancer, and Darren Quam & Friends from Battle Lake, Minn., from Williston, are featured. The season ends April 30 with a suggestion from the NDCA pop songwriter Alma Alma.
