These changes are expected to significantly increase housing supply and reduce stigma around low-priced "mobile homes." However, the bill faces an uphill battle over whether large institutional investors should continue buying and renting homes, a practice criticized by both Sen. Elizabeth Warren and President Donald Trump. The National Association of Realtors has expressed support for the bill, which streamlines federal processes to build more homes.
