Egypt's Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, has announced a series of energy conservation measures, including a nationwide partially remote work mandate, aimed at reducing the country's electricity demand. All government institutions, except those involved in the service and production sectors, will shift to one day of remote work per week starting the first Sunday of April. Other measures include suspending work on large state infrastructure projects for a minimum of two months and reducing the use of government vehicles. The announcement was made during a news conference following an inspection tour of the Al-Obour market.
