Amazon CEO Andy Jassy has criticised competitors including Nvidia, Intel, Starlink, and others in his annual shareholder letter. He highlighted that Amazon's home-grown Trainium AI chips are popular with customers who want better price-performance, and that demand for this chip is so high that Trainium3 and Trainium4 are nearly sold out. He also mentioned that if Amazon were a chipmaker selling its products to others, it would be at $50 billion ARR. Jassy also highlighted the success of Amazon's Starlink competitor, Amazon Leo, which is already succeeding and has won contracts from Delta Airlines, AT&T, Vodafone, Australia’s National Broadband Network, NASA, among others. He emphasized the importance of investing heavily in capex, despite recent drops in Amazon's stock price.
