Dangerous storms with tornadoes and large hail across the Central US overnight, killing at least two people. Over 90 million people from the Gulf Coast to the Mid-Atlantic could be hit by severe storms today, with the threat of tornadoes, hail, and severe weather expected. The tornado threat is not over, with reports of severe damage in small towns across Indiana and Illinois. The damage was reported in Lake Village, one of the small towns in the state and neighboring Illinois at the epicenter of the damage. The Kankakee County Sheriff’s Office in Illinois has filed an emergency declaration with Illinois, urging residents to check on their neighbors and loved ones but avoid unnecessary travel. The severe storm potential will diminish Thursday as a weather pattern change begins to envelop the US.
