Working Manx parents 'penalised' by maternity pay loophole

A mother on the Isle of Man, who identifies herself as "independent", has complained about a loophole in employment law that allows her to rely solely on government support during her pregnancy. The company, which provides for its employees in other countries, has also declined to provide maternity pay. The issue was raised in a written request to the Department of Employment.
