Volunteers have been helping families clean up after severe storms destroyed 30 to 40 homes in North Tulsa. The Tulsa Dream Center has been coordinating the cleanup effort, with over 100 volunteers assisting neighbors. The organization is working to determine how many volunteers will be needed as crews assess additional locations. Executive Director Tim Newton emphasized the importance of residents reporting damage and the number of uninsured homes can affect access to additional funding. The recovery is expected to rely on insurance claims, state-level grant programs, local nonprofits and community support.
