Samantha Scott, former MLB player Dan Serafini's nanny and mistress, has pleaded guilty to being an accomplice in the murder of Serafani's in-laws in Tahoe. She initially mislead detectives during a police interview before admitting her involvement. The newly released interview took place in November 2021, five months after the shooting. Much of the interview focused on the day of the shooting, when Scott said she and Serafinit met to buy a new truck for his wife but ended up traveling to Tahoe to pick up a package. She eventually confessed to the crime and is out of jail with an ankle monitor.
