The Indianapolis Star has been named one of the country's top sports departments in the APSE contest. The newspaper won 13 awards, including a triple crown for Project, Print Portfolio and Digital. Dana Hunsinger Benbow's project "Only woman in the room" on women sports executives in Indianapolis also received a top 10. Other notable winners included Joel A. Erickson in beat writing for his Colts coverage and Zach Osterman in long features.
