Haaland, Bregman clash on policy in lively CNM 'Debate Games'

Democratic gubernatorial candidates Deb Haaland and Sam Bregman took part in a debate at Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) where they faced policy questions from local organizations. The questions covered topics such as healthcare, data centers, immigration enforcement and education. The debate was largely dominated by Haalander's assertion that she would ensure children are educated and have a roof over their heads. Both candidates also promised to address affordability issues and increase childcare and family tax credits. The event followed weeks of Bregmen's campaign accusing Haalan of avoiding debates after he declined invitations from two Albuquerque network television stations.
