Poland, Romania Ordered to Pay Pfizer $2.2 Billion for COVID Vaccines

A court in Belgium has ordered Poland and Romania to pay $2.2 billion for the purchase of 1.9 billion euros worth of Pfizer-made COVID-19 vaccines. The decision was made following a lawsuit by the U.S. pharmaceutical company against them in late 2023 by the European Union for the delivery of a set number of vaccine doses over several years.
