Carson Beck slides into Day 2 of 2026 NFL Draft

Carson Beck, the former Miami quarterback, is still awaiting an NFL home after Day 1 of the 2026 NFL Draft. Despite leading Miami to the national championship game in 2025 and being considered a potential No. 1 overall pick, Fernando Mendoza and Ty Simpson were all selected ahead of Beck. Despite a strong season with 3,813 yards and 30 touchdown passes, critics argue that he lacks accuracy and physical tools to become a starting quarterback in the NFL. Despite this, Beck joins LSU's Garrett Nussmeier, Penn State's Drew Allar, and Vanderbilt's Diego Pavia in a weak quarterback class.
