Air France-KLM revises capacity outlook on geopolitical uncertainty

Air France-KLM has revised its capacity outlook due to geopolitical uncertainty. The company expects a 2.4 billion euro ($2.80 billion) increase in its fuel bill in 2026 compared to 2025. Despite initially seeing an initial boost after the Iran war, Air France has now seen a more muted expansion of its long-haul capacity due to financial concerns over long-distance travel. The airline reported a first-quarter operating loss of 27 million euros ($31.55 million), compared to an estimated 389 million euros.
