Solo Ball to miss all of next season in major UConn injury blow

Solo Ball will miss all of the 2026-27 season due to surgery on his wrist. He will return for his senior season in 2027-28. This is a significant setback for UConn, which is less than a month after its national championship game loss to Michigan. Ball, who averaged 12.8 points last season, had injured his wrist during a game against Butler and again during a win against Xavier. His performance has been praised by head coach Dan Hurley as a warrior and an all-time great at UConn.
