Tyler Glasnow passed on WBC to stay with Dodgers at spring training

Dodgers pitcher Tyler Glasnow has chosen to stay with the team at spring training, following Joe Ryan's withdrawal from Team USA's roster for the group stage of the World Baseball Classic. Glasnow, who had previously struggled with injuries and inconsistent performance, found a comfort level late last season, returning from an early-season shoulder issue and an elbow problem that ended his 2024 campaign early. He also embraced delivery tweaks suggested by pitching coaches Mark Prior and Connor McGuiness before the postseason, leading to a 1.69 ERA among teammates with more than five postseason innings. Despite this, Glasnow expressed his preference this spring to stay in Dodgers camp.
