Northshore residents displaced and without power following severe storms

Northshore residents have been left without power following severe storms that left several homeless and severely damaged homes. The storms occurred on the night of Wednesday night, when several large tornadoes touched down and caused significant damage to homes across the Northshore. Residents have been forced to leave their homes while construction crews complete their work to restore power. WDSU NORTH SHORE BUREAU REPORTER CHANTAL DAVIS is in Northshore Bureau reporting on the progress of the reconstruction efforts. Meanwhile, several tree removal crews are working to clear fallen trees from Tangipah Parish homes and restore power to hundreds of households across the area.
