The Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR) is hosting two Rapid Response events on May 7 to assist laid-off workers from Spirit Airlines, offering career, training and healthcare resources. The events will be held simultaneously in Las Vegas and Reno from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering immediate support and resources for employees who have lost their jobs. The Rapid Response Events will also provide former Spirit employees with access to career and job search assistance, training, upskilling opportunities through EmployNV, information on Unemployment Insurance (UI), healthcare options and community services.
