Southwest Airlines is discontinuing service to Washington, D.C.’s Dulles International Airport and Chicago's O’Hare International Airport from June 4. All flights booked after that date will be canceled and customers can receive a refund through the company's website or the Southwest app. Employees at the airports will have an opportunity to bid for open positions at the company. The airline still has flights to those areas, as Chicago's Midway Airport had flights to over 80 destinations. The announcement comes after the Federal Aviation Administration met with two other airlines about reducing flights at O'Hare.
