Overnight storms knock out power for thousands in Middle Tennessee

The recent storms that left thousands of Middle Tennessee residents without power overnight have resulted in power cuts. For the Metro Nashville area, Nashville Electric Service reported more than 11,000 customers without electricity at one point, which was reduced to just over 10,000 as of 3 a.m. The Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation reported that over 1,100 customers are experiencing an outage, most of which are near the southern Clarksville and Pleasant View areas. The Lawrenceburg Utility Systems reported that more than 1,000 residents are without power.
