The 4th annual Aberdeen Burger Battle celebrated local restaurants and raised thousands for charity. The winner of the 2026 competition was the Downtown Aberdeen restaurant with its Jalapeño Popper Burger. Over 15 restaurants from Aberdeen and surrounding areas participated, selling approximately 6,600 burgers and generating nearly $100,000 in direct sales. The event also generated significant community support through participation fees and sponsorships. The Burger Battle was originally created by the 2023 Leadership Aberdeen class to raise awareness of food insecurity in the community and support local hunger relief efforts.
