Dublin teachers union, district still ‘far apart’ as strike continues

The striking Dublin Teachers Association and the Dublin Unified School District have yet to reach a resolution. The union is seeking salary increases, smaller class sizes, and reduced workloads. The district is also working on how many teachers may need to be laid off to offset an $8.4 million deficit. The strike, which began Monday, is set to continue until Wednesday.
