Florida CEO Davide Veglia killed, teen son hospitalized in hit-and-run Miami boat crash

Davide Veglia, founder and president of South Florida-based ABTS Convention Services, was killed in a hit-and-run boat crash in front of his teenage son. The 30-foot vessel hit their small dinghy off Biscayne Bay, causing it to fall into the water. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission released surveillance photos of the suspected boat. Both Veglia and his son were taken to a local hospital, where Veglia was pronounced dead. The suspected boat was last seen traveling north from Biscay Bay between 7:45 p.m.
