The Telegraph has named the world's most essential street to walk down, Strand in London. The Telegraph has compiled a list of 20 streets around the world that should be walked in their lifetime. The Strand, a stretch of central London that connects Trafalgar Square to Fleet Street, is considered one of the most ancient and historic streets in the city. Along its 1.3km route, walkers will find leading West End theatres, historical landmarks, major art institutions, and a slew of fantastic pubs, cafes and restaurants. Additionally, the Strand was named among Time Out's top place in the UK to visit.
