Belfast, the capital of a post-conflict society, has a thriving tourist industry and a compact and easy place to get around. The city is also home to a vibrant arts scene, with numerous festivals, theatre, music, stand-up comedy and street art. While politics can be frustrating and the city is still contested, it is also a lovely city to spend time in.
