President Donald Trump has named Vice President J.D. Vance as the country's "fraud czar," claiming that fraud is "massive and pervasive" in the US. His focus will be on fraud in states such as California, Illinois, Minnesota, Maine, New York, and many others. The President did not provide evidence for these claims. Vance has previously announced the creation of a new role in the Justice Department to investigate fraud and will report directly to himself and the President. In recent months, the Administration has targeted Minnesota over allegations of fraud and temporarily suspended more than $250 million in Medicaid funding for the state.
