Brent Reynolds, a 42-year-old Marshall woman, has been charged with manslaughter for driving 110 mph in a 25 mph zone, killing a 65-year old woman and injuring a 32-year female pedestrian. The crash occurred on S. Odell Ave. near Ridgecrest St. The speed limit on the residential street was 25 mph. Reynolds was driving a gray Ford Focus southbound when he rear-ended a light blue Ford Bronco driven by an unidentified woman. The impact of the collision left the Bronco sliding out of control, causing it to leave the roadway, jumping a sidewalk, and landing in the northbound lane of travel. The black box, or Electronic Data Recorder, inside Reynolds’ Ford Focus indicated that the speed had increased five seconds before impact.
