Prime Video India has launched a major slate of original TV shows, feature films, and licensed content, with the aim of targeting global viewers with local originals. The news comes as India continues to be a key market for Amazon, which operates Prime Video and Amazon MX Player in the country. Among the shows being introduced are Nikkhil Advani’s The Revolutionaries, Matka King, Raakh, Lukkhe, and Vansh. The theatrical slate from Amazon MGM Studios includes Raftaar, VIBE, and Dilkashi. Prime Video India is estimated to have over 20 million paying customers in India, making it a significant rival to market leader JioHotstar.
