Court documents reveal that Blackburn avoided questions during his deposition by blaming memory issues from medication, even though he defended Dixon's deposition just days earlier. The judge warned Blackburn that he had repeatedly missed deadlines and warned that sanctions could increase if compliance was not met. The dispute between Fat Joe and Dixon began last March when the two men received a demand for payment for work as a vocalist on some uncredited songs. Fat Joe filed a lawsuit against Blackburn and Dixon for defamation and extortion, and has filed a claim for emotional distress and intentional intentional infliction of emotional distress, fraud, and intentional inflictions of emotional harm, fraud and emotional distress.
