ASU professor gives insight into Artemis II mission, future of space exploration

NASA's Artemis II mission is set to launch from Kennedy Space Center in Florida, marking the first flight to the moon since 1972. The mission will take four astronauts, Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen on a 10-day, 685,000-mile journey. Laurie Leshin, a professor with ASU's School of Earth and Space Exploration, said the mission is a step towards putting man on the moon again in a long-term capacity. The launch will take place at 3:24 p.m. MST.
