Meta's social network for VR, Horizon Worlds, is set to be completely removed from its platform by mid-June from its Quest headsets. The news was a surprise to some who thought it would continue offering access to community-made VR experiences. Instead, Meta will focus on building Horizon Worlds as a mobile app for phones, competing with Roblox and other popular apps. The company has also withdrawn from its VR gaming app, Supernatural, and its space-capturing app, Hyperscape Capture, removing its ability to share scans with other headsets.
