New Line has hired Connor Osborne McIntyre to write the screenplay for a sequel to its hit, Lights Out. The sequel has been on and off the development track over the years. Original producer Lawrence Grey is returning as producer, Eric Heisserer and David F. Sandberg, who both wrote and directed the movie, will also produce. Additional producers include Ben Everard and Lotta Losten. The film was the directorial debut for Sandberg and grossed $149 million worldwide on a production budget of less than $5 million.
