The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has proposed changes to flight paths at Sky Harbor Airport and nine other Valley airports. The changes could impact airlines and residents living near the routes jets take during takeoff and landing. The FAA is using satellite-based navigation, promising safer and more efficient flights. The agency is holding public comment sessions over the next two weeks and any new routes would take effect next year. This proposal comes after a controversial change in flight paths in 2014, which led to lawsuits and court hearings.
