UCLA women's basketball coach, Cori Close, has maintained her commitment to upholding John Wooden's legacy as the winningest women's coach in UCLA history. Close still visits with Wooden before every home game and maintains a strong focus on teaching and coaching that reflects his example. Her team has been performing well this season, winning a program-record 25 consecutive games and being predicted to win the NCAA Tournament. Close and her team have mirrored the dominance Wooden achieved during his career, winning 10 national championships. The pair had a 17-year friendship that included discussions about character, faith, family, and basketball.
