The city of Austin has outlined its Spring Festival Season guidelines for transportation adjustments, safety tips, and other services available for festival attendees. The city's transportation guide includes street closures, rideshare staging areas, loading zones, public transit stations, bicycle routes, and more. Since June, the city has installed over 640 leading pedestrian interval signals, which have led to an 18% drop in left-turning vehicle crashes. The Austin Police Department will be visible throughout the downtown area throughout the festival, and will start a no-refusal initiative on March 12. The department also encourages attendees to drink responsibly and stay safe while riding scooters. The Fire Marshal's Office will permit and inspect all events submitted through the Austin Center for Events to ensure a safe festival week.
