Evan Hajer, 65, from Wilmington, IL, has been charged with aggravated driving under the influence for his seventh consecutive DUI arrest. The Will County State's Attorney's Office continues to aggressively pursue felony charges against motorists accused of repeat DUI offenses. Hajer was spotted driving while under influence and booked into the Will County Jail on Feb. 28 and later released on bail after a petition to deny pretrial release was denied. Prosecutors allege that Hajer committed four drunken driving crimes in his life, including three prior DUI arrests. Despite these incidents, Will County Judge Chrystel Gavlin allowed Hajer to keep his freedom despite the potential for his fourth DUI conviction in Illinois.
