A recent cold snap has hit some crops in the Garden State particularly hard, with farmers across New Jersey reporting widespread losses. The impact on peaches and apples is expected to be significant. The cold snap left some tomatoes under covers and some strawberries just about ready for picking. The New Jersey Department of Agriculture is urging farmers to report crop damage to their local Farm Service Agency offices as assessments continue.
