Musician Edd Langmead, who bought GLP-1 medication from an online pharmacy, now cannot walk or move properly after his gallbladder became so inflamed that it had to be removed. Langmeads, who had been suffering from back pain for three years, lost more than 80 lbs. He decided to pursue GLP1 medication in May 2025, but was told there was a waiting list of nearly a year for the medication from the National Health Service (NHS). Langmade bought the drugs online and found they were successful, with no bad side effects. He was diagnosed with gangrenous cholecystitis, a serious complication of gallabladder inflammation, which has a high mortality rate. Despite this, Langmeade warns of the risks of unsupervised use of GLP 1 and warns of regular blood tests.
