A Skykomish gym teacher, Daniel Lee Bubar, is accused of grooming and sexually assaulting a student over a year. The victim's family has hired a lawyer, Michael Pfau, who believes there may be more victims. The alleged abuse took place during the course of the year. Court records reveal that Bubar bonded with the victim over a mutual interest in soccer and then turned the relationship sexual. The Skycomish School District is investigating whether any employees or students knew about the abuse and why nothing was done to stop it.
